As a magician for political events

I had the privilege of enchanting 11,700 guests as a magician at events.

When I started performing magic over 20 years ago, I never dreamed I'd be standing here. The Open House Day at our German Bundestag. Wow! As an event magician, every performance is special, but this one was extraordinary. It took place in an environment where tricks and illusions are usually out of place. From the very first second, I was fascinated and excited. Someone pinch me! It's incredible that I was able to contribute my magic to the success of this project.

The open house at the Bundestag in Berlin is called "Day of Insights and Perspectives," or TEA for short. Here, you have the opportunity to meet various members of parliament from different parties, ask them questions, explore the Reichstag building and the other parliamentary buildings of the German Bundestag, and experience politics up close. When I received the request, I knew immediately: I'm doing it! After all, I'm a magician for all kinds of events.

Upon my arrival, which was remarkably smooth and uncomplicated by Berlin standards, I found myself standing in front of the Reichstag building. For the first time in a long time, I was greeted with a "wow" moment – even before I had given one myself. Anyone who's ever been there knows what I'm talking about. The building is imposing and intriguing, sparking a desire to see more.

But now for the important part: Even the first steps presented a challenge. At the security checkpoint, I was asked why I was carrying balls containing electronics. Before I could explain, I was interrupted: "You have a very high concentration of metallic objects. Could you please open the bag?" Naturally, I then opened my "magic case" and explained to the staff that I'm an event magician. Their curiosity was immediately apparent. After a quick glance at my coins, LED juggling balls, and the rest of my secret items, I was allowed to proceed.

My client from the CDU/CSU picked me up and escorted me to the stage for the day: the parliamentary group's area. All the parliamentary groups in the Bundestag are represented here, and here I had the opportunity to perform my magic for all the guests, politically interested people, and spontaneous visitors. Wonderful! The CDU/CSU, as the strongest party, presents itself in the largest area. Fair enough! This provided ample space to enchant people today and to present my close-up magic as a walking act.

Interactive magician for events of all kinds

I combine entertainment, communication, and stylish interaction.

There was plenty of entertainment on offer: from a coffee station and popcorn to face painting for children and raffles, there was truly something for everyone. And then there was my magic, which enchanted everyone. Up close and personal, I was able to present my personalized performance and captivate the audience, or rather, transport them into a world of magic.

As always, I tailored my magician performance for events to my client and the occasion, and in consultation with the party's marketing department, I created a custom layout for card decks and other magic props. A photo I took of the Berlin TV Tower on the day itself served as a souvenir for the guests after my magic trick. This trick is interactive, allowing my guests to become part of the moment, actively participating and leaving them all the more fascinated by the outcome. Being able to take home a memento of this moment is truly pocket-sized magic—small, but of the greatest significance.

And so I captivated the TEA audience in German and English – from families to politically engaged individuals seeking direct exchange. There were also a surprisingly large number of tourists who spontaneously decided to drop by during their visit to Berlin. This vibrant mix of different age groups and cultures made the event so diverse. This very diversity is part of the magic, for it is boundless and enchants everyone who embraces it. On this day, shared wonder brought together people who might otherwise have seen each other but never truly met. Laughter connects, and there was plenty of laughter!

Besides the guests, I also had the privilege of performing for numerous members of parliament and enchanting them with my magic up close. Everyone was courteous, open-hearted, and very friendly, allowing me to deliver my performance with an ease that enveloped not only my audience but also myself.

In conclusion, I can say that I was welcomed with open arms and genuine curiosity at this event. I was thoroughly looked after and treated with great care. This is precisely what I value in collaborations, because as an artist, I'm an integral part of the whole, not just an act. I received a wealth of information and learned a great deal myself. It was fascinating to see that the sometimes perceived distance between me and politicians was completely absent. It was a thoroughly successful day, full of inspiration, information, fascination, and a whole host of "wow" moments. Amazing!
